Mary Johannesen opened Keller ATA in August, 2007 after beginning her taekwondo journey in New Jersey with her daughter. A Navy veteran and single mom, it was her desire to create a family friendly school where all would be welcome and included.
Nathan and Mary met in 2018. He had always wanted to take a martial arts class, as Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee were childhood idols. Nathan began taking classes and found a passion for teaching and working with kids. Tying the knot in 2019, Nathan and Mary have been teaching together ever since. |
